Class: Bodyguard 10
The Bodyguard can use Improved Vanguard Intercept when either Protected Charge, within 10 feet, is directly targeted by a harmful spell that affects one creature. Area spells cannot be intercepted.
Use the existing Reaction and MAB check against the spellcaster’s MAD, including the Improved Vanguard Intercept +2 MAB bonus. On a success, the Bodyguard moves into the Charge’s square and the Charge moves to the next available square behind the Bodyguard, relative to the caster. Resolve the spell against the Bodyguard as though they were its original target, including any attack roll or saving throw. On a failure, the Bodyguard moves to an available square adjacent to the Charge, and the spell resolves against its original target.
