Tiefling

A Tiefling combines a planar heritage with a base ancestry. It retains that ancestry’s racial ability adjustments and Size package; the Tiefling heritage replaces the ancestry’s other special traits.

Choose one heritage:

• Infernal: Energy Resistance 5 against fire.
• Abyssal: Energy Resistance 5 against cold. This heritage does not grant acid resistance.

Every Tiefling also gains:

• Darkvision: See in darkness out to 60 ft.
• Prehensile Tail: The Tiefling Tail Feats allow the tail to handle items and, with further training, wield a weapon or shield.

Energy Resistance follows the shared Energy Resistance rule.

The heritage also grants the following fixed Racial skill bonuses. The selected traits replace the base ancestry’s other special traits.

Base ancestry	Fixed skill bonuses
Human	+2 Persuasion, +2 Investigation
Elf	+2 Perception, +2 Stealth, +2 Lore (Arcana)
Dwarf	+2 Craft, +2 Athletics, +2 Perception
Half-Orc	+2 Persuasion
Halfling	+2 Acrobatics, +2 Stealth
Half-Elf	+2 Perception, +2 Persuasion
